I would have known of Shantaram if I wasn't a fan of Johnny Depp. As soon as I heard he was going to make a movie based on a book I rushed out and bought a copy myself. It is a bit of a different world than what we Johnny Depp fans are used to but it is a facinating world. Those of us who understand Johnny as more of a person than trying to relate to his characters will be able to see him starring in this book.
